GUILT

What does the Bible say

Bible Reference  Romans 2:15  Since they show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts now accusing, now even defending them.

Bible Reference  Romans 3:23   For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

Bible Reference  Galatians 3:22  But the Scripture declares that the whole world is a prisoner of sin, so that what was promised, being given through faith in Jesus Christ, might be given to those who believe.

Bible Reference  Romans 6:23  For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Bible Reference  John 6:44-45  "No one can come to me unless the Father who sent Me draws him, and I will raise him up at the last day. 45 It is written in the Prophets: `They will all be taught by God.' Everyone who listens to the Father and learns from Him comes to Me."

Bible Reference  John 14:6  Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through Me."

Bible Reference  Romans 8:28-29  And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose. 29 For those God foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brothers.

Bible Reference  Acts 3:19  Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from The Lord.

Bible Reference  John 3:3-5  In reply Jesus declared, "I tell you the truth, no one can see the Kingdom of God unless he is born again."

4 "How can a man be born when he is old?" Nicodemus asked. "Surely he cannot enter a second time into his mother's womb to be born!"

5 Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, no one can enter the Kingdom of God, unless he is born of water and the Spirit.

Bible Reference  Romans 3:23  For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Romans 10:13  for, "Everyone who calls on the Name of The Lord will be saved."

Bible Reference  1 John 1:8-9 If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

Bible Reference  John 1:12  Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His Name, He gave the right to become children of God.

Bible Reference  Hebrews 10:22  Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.

Bible Reference  Hebrews 4:16  Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

Bible Reference  1Timothy 3:9  They must keep hold of the deep truths of the faith with a clear conscience.

Bible Reference  Revelation 12:10  Then I heard a loud voice in Heaven say:
"Now have come the salvation and the power and the Kingdom of our God, and the authority of His Christ. For the accuser of our brothers, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down.

Bible Reference  Romans 8:1  Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,

Bible Reference  John 8:36  So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

Bible Reference  Hebrews 10:19-22  Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the Blood of Jesus, 20 by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, His body, 21 and since we have a great priest over the house of God, 22 let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.

John 8:36  So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

Bible Reference  Romans 6:18-22  You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness. 19 I put this in human terms because you are weak in your natural selves. Just as you used to offer the parts of your body in slavery to impurity and to ever-increasing wickedness, so now offer them in slavery to righteousness leading to holiness. 20 When you were slaves to sin, you were free from the control of righteousness. 21 What benefit did you reap at that time from the things you are now ashamed of? Those things result in death! 22 But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves to God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life. Romans 8:1 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
HATE / HATRED

What does the Bible say

Bible Reference  Leviticus 19:17  Do not hate your brother in your heart. Rebuke your neighbor frankly so you will not share in his guilt.

Bible Reference  Proverbs 10:12  Hatred stirs up dissension, but love covers over all wrongs.

Bible Reference  Proverbs 15:17  Better a meal of vegetables where there is love than a fattened calf with hatred.

Bible Reference  Proverbs 10:12  The man of integrity walks securely, but he who takes crooked paths will be found out.

Bible Reference  Matthew 5:43-45  "You have heard that it was said, `Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' 44 But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,  45 that you may be sons of your Father in Heaven."

Bible Reference  1 John 2:9-11  Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates his brother is still in the darkness. 10 Whoever loves his brother lives in the light, and there is nothing in him to make him stumble. 11 But whoever hates his brother is in the darkness and walks around in the darkness; he does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded him.

Bible Reference  1 John 4:20-21  If anyone says, "I love God," yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen. 21 And He has given us this command: Whoever loves God must also love his brother.

WHAT IS HEAVEN LIKE

What does the Bible say

Bible Reference  Revelation 21:18-21  The wall was made of jasper, and the city of pure gold, as pure as glass. 19 The foundations of the city walls were decorated with every kind of precious stone. The first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the third chalcedony, the fourth emerald, 20 the fifth sardonyx, the sixth carnelian, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst. 21 The twelve gates were twelve pearls, each gate made of a single pearl. The great street of the city was of pure gold, like transparent glass.

Bible Reference  I Corinthians  2:However, as it is written: "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love Him."

Bible Reference  Revelation 21:3-4  And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Now the dwelling of God is with men, and He will live with them. They will be His people, and God Himself will be with them and be their God. 4 He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."

Bible Reference  Revelation 4:4-11  Surrounding the throne were twenty-four other thrones, and seated on them were twenty-four elders. They were dressed in white and had crowns of gold on their heads. 5 From the throne came flashes of lightning, rumblings and peals of thunder. Before the throne, seven lamps were blazing. These are the seven spirits of God. 6 Also before the throne, there was what looked like a sea of glass, clear as crystal.

In the center, around the throne, were four living creatures, and they were covered with eyes, in front and in back. 7 The first living creature was like a lion, the second was like an ox, the third had a face like a man, the fourth was like a flying eagle. 8 Each of the four living creatures had six wings and was covered with eyes all around, even under his wings. Day and night they never stop saying:

"Holy, Holy, Holy
is The Lord God Almighty,
who was, and is, and is to come."

9 Whenever the living creatures give glory, honor and thanks to Him who sits on the throne and who lives for ever and ever, 10 the twenty-four elders fall down before Him who sits on the throne, and worship Him who lives for ever and ever. They lay their crowns before the throne and say:

11 "You are worthy, Our Lord and God,
to receive glory and honor and power,
for you created all things,
and by Your will they were created
and have their being."

Bible Reference  I Corinthians 6:3  Do you not know that we will judge angels? How much more the things of this life!

Bible Reference  Revelation 19:11  I saw Heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice, He judges and makes war.

Bible Reference  Luke 23:42-43  Then he said, "Jesus, remember me when you come into your Kingdom."  43 Jesus answered him, "I tell you the truth, today you will be with Me in paradise."

Bible Reference  Hebrews 12:22-23  But you have come to Mount Zion, to the heavenly Jerusalem, the city of the living God. You have come to thousands upon thousands of angels in joyful assembly, 23 to the church of the firstborn, whose names are written in Heaven. You have come to God, the judge of all men, to the spirits of righteous men made perfect.

HELL

What does the Bible say

Bible Reference  Ezekiel 33:11  "Say to them, `As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign LORD, I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that they turn from their ways and live. Turn! Turn from your evil ways! Why will you die, O house of Israel?' "

Bible Reference  Matthew 7:13  Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.

Bible Reference  Matthew 13:41-43  The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will weed out of His Kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil. 42 They will throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. 43 Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the Kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear.

Bible Reference  Matthew 13:47-50  Once again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a net that was let down into the lake and caught all kinds of fish. 48 When it was full, the fishermen pulled it up on the shore. Then they sat down and collected the good fish in baskets, but threw the bad away. 49 This is how it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come and separate the wicked from the righteous 50 and throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth."

WHAT IS HELL LIKE

What does the Bible say

Bible Reference  Mark 9:43-48  If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life maimed than with two hands to go into hell, where the fire never goes out. 45 And if your foot causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life crippled than to have two feet and be thrown into hell.  47 And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out. It is better for you to enter the Kingdom of God with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into hell, 48 where

"Their worm does not die,
and the fire is not quenched."

Bible Reference  Matthew 8:12  But the subjects of the kingdom will be thrown outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Bible Reference  Matthew 22:13  "Then the king told the attendants, `Tie him hand and foot, and throw him outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.' "

Bible Reference  Matthew 25:41  "Then He will say to those on His left, `Depart from Me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.' "

Bible Reference  Romans 2:14-16  Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature things required by the law, they are a law for themselves, even though they do not have the law, 15 since they show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts now accusing, now even defending them. 16 This will take place on the day when God will judge men's secrets through Jesus Christ, as my gospel declares.

Bible Reference  Romans 3:23  For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

WHERE IS HELL

THE DIFFERENT LEVELS OF HELL - SHEOL

Sheol, Hades, Hell, the Pit, Gehenna, Tartarus, the grave, and the Deep all mean Hell or the bottomless pit. Sheol is the Hebrew word for Hell in the Old Testament and Hades is the Greek word for Hell. Sheol or Hades, although a horrible place in every sense of the word, is not the permanent abode of those who are there or will go there. Sheol is only a temporary jail or holding cell for the wicked until the day Jesus sits on His throne at the Great White Throne Judgment and judges all who are there with His final judgment. After which, they will all be cast into Gehenna where the Lake of Fire is located in outer darkness for all eternity, with no hope of redemption, eternally separated from God.

PARADISE - HELL:

Before Jesus gave up His life on the cross, Hell had a very special compartment in it called Paradise, also called Abraham's bosom. Paradise is the place where all the righteous are kept from the time of the death of Abel who was Adam's second son, the first man to die on the earth until Jesus Christ Our Lord and Savior gave up His life on the Cross at Calvary. After Jesus' crucifixion, He went down to Hades/Hell to this special compartment called Paradise and gathered up all who were there and brought them out with Him. This is verified in Ephesian 3:8 below. But for these who are in Hell, plus those who will join them there who never accept Jesus as Lord, will not be resurrected until the end of the thousand-year Millennium when they will be brought out, judged and sent to Gehenna which is the Lake of Fire in outer darkness.

Ephesians 4:8-10 "Wherefore He saith, when He Jesus ascended up on high, He led captivity captive and gave gifts unto men." 9 "Now that He ascended, what is it but that He also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?" 10 "He that descended is the same also who ascended up far above all heavens, that He might fulfill all things."

The Bible does not say at what point the redeemed Jesus brought up out of Paradise ascended into heaven, however, it does leave us with the assurance of these words spoken by Paul in 2 Corinthians 5:8  "To be absent from the body is to be present with The Lord for all who accept the Resurrected Jesus Christ as Lord after His crucifixion." So that the wicked would not be blind as to the fate that awaits them, Jesus gives a brief description of Hell and Paradise in a story He tells in
Luke 16:19-31

Luke 16:19-31 "There was a certain rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and fared sumptuously every day."  20 "But there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, full of sores, who was laid at his gate..." 21  "...desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table.  Moreover, the dogs came and licked his sores." 22 "So it was that the beggar died, and was carried by the Angels to Abraham's bosom. The rich man also died and was buried."  23 "And being in torment in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom."  24  "Then he cried and said, 'Father Abraham, have mercy on me and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am tormented in this flame.' " 25 To this Abraham replied, "But Abraham said, 'Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted and you are tormented."  26 "And besides all this, between we and you, there is a great gulf fixed, so that those who want to pass from here to you cannot, nor can those from there pass to us." 27 "Then he said, 'I beg you therefore, father, that you would send him to my father's house,..." 28 "...for I have five brothers, that he may testify to them, lest they also come to this place of torment." 29 "Abraham said to him, 'They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.' " 30 "And he said, 'No, father Abraham; but if one goes to them from the dead, they will repent." 31"But he said to him, 'If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead.' "

The reason that the righteous were kept in Paradise until after Jesus was crucified was because even though God saw them as righteous and forgave their sins, they could not enter into Heaven, until Jesus was crucified and their sins were washed away through His Blood. Until that time, the Jews could only sacrifice animals as a covering for their sins, but after Jesus was crucified as a blood sacrifice, their sins were finally washed away and they could enter into Heaven. John 1:28 speaking of Jesus,  "Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away sin."

PARADISE  is mentioned three times in the Bible and is moved to Two Different Locations:Paradise One was first located in Hell as explained in Luke 16:19-31 in the Parable of Lazar and the rich man and in Luke 23:43 when Jesus is being crucified on the Cross between two thieves and one of the thieves asked Jesus to remember him when He came into His Father's Kingdom, to which Jesus replied,  "I tell you the truth: Today, you will be with me in Paradise."

PARADISE TWO is located in the third heaven. After Jesus' death, Resurrection and Ascension into Heaven, Paradise was move to the third heaven. Paul verifies this in 2 Cor 12:1-4  12:1  "It is doubtless not profitable for me to boast. I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord." 2 "I know a man in Christ who 14 years ago--whether in the body I do not know, or whether out of the body I do not know, God knows--such a one was caught up to the third heaven." 3 "And I know such a man--whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows--" 4 "--how he was caught up into Paradise."

THE SIDES OF THE PIT - HELL

The sides of the Pit is yet another part of Hell and is where Satan will be kept during the thousand-year Millennium that will start at the end of the seven-year Tribulation when Jesus returns to earth.
Isaiah 14:15 "Yet thou Satan shalt be brought down to Hell, to the sides of the Pit to await judgment."

TARTARUS - HELL:

Tartarus or Outer Darkness is a place in Gehenna, Hell where the Fallen Angels who took the daughters of man as wives and gave birth to the Nephilim, half angel-and-half human, are kept bound in chains.  These angels will never be released until the Great White Throne Judgment, when they will be taken out, of the Pit, judged and then cast back into the Lake of Fire in outer darkness for all eternity.

ABYSS - HELL:

In the middle of the seven-year Tribulation, Satan will be given the key that will unlock the door to the abyss and he will release all of the demons under his control who are not already out in the world. The only ones who will not be released will be the fallen angels that are kept in a compartment called Tartarus. From this time, to the end of the three-and-half years of the Great Tribulation, all the demons and fallen angels that are not kept in chains will rain down on the earth death and destruction.

GEHENNA - HELL:

Gehenna is a Greek word for the Hebrew word Hell; translated means "The Lake Of Fire." At the end of this earth age, Gehenna will encompass all of the other compartments in Hell into in one huge Lake of Fire in the outer darkness and will be the place where Satan, the Fallen Angels, demons, the Antichrist, the False Prophet and the Unrighteous and will spend eternity."
