SECTION TWENTY
THE BEAST THAT WAS, AND IS NOT, EVEN HE IS THE EIGHTH
Revelation 17:11-13 "And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth," I believe this passage refers to the Antichrist with two outcomes.
THE SEVENTH KING BECOMES THE EIGHTH KING
In the middle of the seven-year Tribulation, the Antichrist will receive a fatal head wound, but Satan will enter his body and bring him back to life, thus making him the eighth king.
In addition to being both the seventh and eighth kings, via his death then resurrection, he is also the 11th horn, who will rise up out of Assyria that will be controlled by Iran, until the time he rises to power over the Middle East, and eventually over the world.
IMPORTANT: The original Assyrian Empire consisted of Assyria, Iraq and a part of Iran, but later expanded. I believe that within the next year or so, and certainly no later than 2009, the United States for the most part will be forced out of the Middle East, as a result of the expanding civil war in Iraq and other countries in the Middle East, and because of public opinion, both here and abroad. I also believe that shortly after Iraq establishes her own government and without the military help of the United States, real civil war will break out in Iraq. I am also convinced that when this happens, Iran will invade Iraq, and possibly Syria, although Iran and Syria are allies now, this war will have nothing to do with who is your friend, but will be motivated by power. Out of this chaos, I believe the man the Bible calls the Assyrian will rise to power. I am also convinced that within a short time after Iran invades Iraq, and possibly Syria, it will not be long until the entire Middle East comes under Iran's control, either by their own choice or by force. It is an established fact that the tribes in the Middle East cannot live in peace and have been at war with each other from time-to-time for thousands of years, so it will not come as a surprise to the world when Iran picks up their previous ten-year war with Iraq and quickly conquers them.
Revelation 13:1-18 "And the dragon stood on the shore of the sea. And I saw a beast, the Antichrist coming out of the sea. He had ten horns ten kingdoms and seven heads: Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Persia, Greece, Rome, and the Revised Roman Empire with ten crowns ten kings on his horns, ten kingdoms, and on each head a blasphemous name." 2 "The beast I saw resembled a leopard Greece but had feet like those of a bear Persia and a mouth like that of a lion Babylon. The dragon Satan gave the beast the Antichrist his power and his throne and great authority." 3 "One of the heads of the beast seemed to have had a fatal wound. In the middle of the seven-year Tribulation, the Antichrist will receive a fatal head wound. At the same time the Antichrist receives the fatal head wound, there will be war in heaven and Satan and the fallen angels who rebelled with him against God, will be cast down to the earth. When Satan is cast out of heaven the second and final time, he will enter in the body of the Antichrist. The fatal wound had been healed. The whole world was astonished and followed the beast the Antichrist." 4 "Men worshiped the dragon Satan because he had given authority power to the beast the Antichrist, and they all the people of the world also worshiped the beast the Antichrist and asked, "Who is like the beast? Who can make war against him?"
5 "The beast the Antichrist was given a mouth by Satan who indwells him to utter proud words and blasphemies and to exercise his authority for forty-two months, the last three-and-half years before the return of Christ." 6 "He the Antichrist opened his mouth to blaspheme God, and to slander His Name and His dwelling place and those who live in Heaven." 7 "He was given power to make war against the saints and to conquer them. And he was given authority over every tribe, people, language and nation." 8 "All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast-all whose names have not been written in the Book of Life belonging to the Lamb that was slain from the creation of the world."
11 "Then I saw another beast, the false prophet coming out of the earth. He had two horns meaning a little power like a lamb, I believe the two little horns represent Israel and the new State of Palestine, which I believe will be established before this event takes place. As you may recall, Jesus told the Jews that because they did not recognize Him as their Messiah, another would come in his own name and him they would believe, John 5:43. The Jews are still waiting for the Messiah, and I believe the false prophet will lead them right to him, only it will not be Jesus, but the Antichrist and Satan they will put their trust in for a short time. ...but he the false prophet spoke like a dragon Satan." 12 "He exercised all the authority of the first beast the Antichrist on his behalf and made the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast, whose fatal wound had been healed." 13 "And he the false prophet performed great and miraculous signs, even causing fire to come down from heaven to earth in full view of men."
14 "Because of the signs, he the false prophet was given power to do on behalf of the first beast the Antichrist, he the false prophet deceived the inhabitants of the earth. He the false prophet ordered them the people of the world to set up an image in honor of the beast the Antichrist who was wounded by the sword shot in the head and yet lived."
15 "He the false prophet was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that it could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed." 16 "He also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead, 17 so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast the Antichrist or the number of his name."
18 "This calls for wisdom. If anyone has insight, let him calculate the number of the beast the Antichrist, for it is man's number. His number is 666." NIV
The Bible teaches that the born-again believer will be raptured before the Antichrist is introduced to the world and raised to power by Satan and will not go through the 7-year Tribulation.

Isaiah 10:24-25 "Therefore thus says The Lord GOD of Hosts, "O My people, who dwell in Zion, do not be afraid of the Assyrian. He shall strike you with a rod and lift up his staff against you, in the manner of Egypt." 25 "For yet a very little while and the indignation will cease, as will My anger in their destruction." NKJV

WILL THE FALSE PROPHET BE A JEW?
The Antichrist will not be alone. The Bible speaks of yet another man called "the False Prophet," whom I believe will come onto the scene shortly before the Antichrist is introduced to the world. He will be given power to perform miracles in the sight of the Antichrist. I believe the False Prophet will be a Jew and will rise up out of the tribe of Dan.
1. The tribe of Dan was the first tribe to worship idols in Samaria. Amos 8:14 "They who swear by the shame of Samaria, or say, 'As surely as your god lives, O Dan, or as surely as the god of Beersheba lives'- they will fall, never to rise again." NIV
2. In the Book of Revelation, the tribe of Dan is not included when Jesus named the twelve tribes of the thirteen tribes each consisting of 12,000 men who will be evangelists during the seven-year Tribulation.
The Samarians were idol worshipers and in Deuteronomy 18:10-13, God through Moses said, "Let no one be found among you who sacrifices his son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritualist or who consults the dead. Anyone who does these things is detestable to the LORD, and because of these detestable practices, the LORD your God will drive out those nations before you. You must be blameless before the LORD your God." NIV
3. The third reason I believe the False Prophet will come from the tribe of Dan is found in Genesis 49:17 "Dan will be the serpent by the roadside, a viper along the path, that bites the horse's heels so that its rider (Israel) tumbles backward." NIV
As I have said before, I believe the "rider" spoken of in the previous verse refers to the Jewish people, and because the False Prophet will be a Jew, he will cause the Nation of Israel to stumble and fall backwards believing the lie of Satan. The False Prophet will be a perfect counterfeit of Jesus, and perform all manner of miracles, but will speak with the tongue of Satan. Through the miracles he performs, the false prophet will cause all who live on the earth who do not have the love of The Lord in their hearts to worship the Antichrist.
In John 5:43 "Jesus said, I come in My Father's Name and you did not receive Me, if another will come in his own name, him you will receive." The person Jesus was referring to is the Antichrist, indwelled with the spirit of Satan.
For thousands of years, the Jews have waited for their Messiah, and even though many will not believe that the Antichrist is "God," they will believe in his power. In order for the Jews to believe in the Antichrist's power, I believe the false prophet has to be Jewish. Many believe and teach that the Jews will accept the Antichrist as "God," but if you will recall, when the Antichrist enters the Temple of God, and proclaims himself to be "God," the Jews recognize him for who he is. Furthermore, the Antichrist does not demand that he be worshiped as "God" until he enters the Temple of God in Israel, proclaiming himself to be "God" over all that is worshiped and is called "God."
That means that Christians, Muslims, and every other religion practiced on earth will have to worship the Antichrist as "God" or be put to death. H-e-l-l-o, this is your wake-up call!
The reason I have failed to include Buddhism and Hinduism in the list is because Buddhism and Hinduism are for the most part practiced in India, China, Japan and most of the countries in the Far East. I believe these countries will be bitter enemies of the Antichrist and will not come under his control, but will go to war against him in the Battle of Armageddon, at which time they will all be destroyed by God, Jesus Christ when He returns to the earth during the heat of that battle.
In the Book of Revelation, John describes the false prophet and his incredible powers. Revelation 13:11-14 "Then I saw another beast, coming out of the earth. He had two horns like a lamb, but he spoke like a dragon. He exercised all the authority of the first beast on his behalf, and made the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast, whose fatal wound had been healed. THE FUTURE BABYLON
Over the last century, especially during the past 50 years, many believe and teach that Babylon was destroyed by the Persians in 539 B.C., the year the Medes and the Persians conquered Babylon. This could not be further from the truth.
In 539, when Cyrus, King of Persia, overthrew Babylon, he did not destroy any part of the city. To overcome Babylon without a battle, one of Cyrus' generals diverted the water of the Euphrates River allowing the Persian army to slip under the gates and take the city without a fight. It is also believed it was three days before many in the city became aware that they had been conquered by the Persians.
Two centuries later, the Greeks led by Alexander the Great, made Babylon its capital. As late as 75 A.D., merchants all over the Middle East were still conducting trade in Babylon. It was not until the trade routes were changed that Babylon ceased to be a major trade center. In the late 1800's, it is a well-established fact that many in Iraq still considered the City of Babylon their home.
According to Isaiah and Jeremiah, Babylon will be destroyed like Sodom and Gomorrah. Jeremiah goes on to say that the army will come from the North. This event is yet future because as of this writing, it has not yet happened. Although for the most part, Babylon is in ruins today, it is not as a result of war or any battle. In 1997, Saddam Hussein began construction in Babylon in an effort to rebuild a part of the city, but was only able to complete a few buildings.
In Jeremiah 50:33-41 The LORD Almighty tells us: "The people of Israel are oppressed, and the people of Judah, as well. All their captors hold them fast, refusing to let them go." 34 "Yet their Redeemer is strong; the LORD Almighty is His Name. He will vigorously defend their cause so that He may bring rest to their land, but unrest to those who live in Babylon." 35 "A sword against the Babylonians! declares the LORD--against those who live in Babylon and against her officials and wise men!" 36 "A sword against her false prophets! They will become fools. A sword against her warriors! They will be filled with terror." 37 "A sword against her horses and chariots and all the foreigners in her ranks! They will become women. A sword against her treasures! They will be plundered." 38 "A drought on her waters! They will dry up. For it is a land of idols, idols (who are controlled by demonic spirits) that will go mad with terror (on the Day of The Lord)."
39 "So desert creatures and hyenas will live there, and there the owl will dwell. It will never again be inhabited or lived in from generation-to-generation." 40 "As God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah along with their neighboring towns, declares the LORD, so no one will live there; no man will dwell in it."
41 "Look! An army is coming from the North." NIV
In order for Babylon to be destroyed like Sodom and Gomorrah, Babylon must first be rebuilt. This will take many years and billions of dollars, but if you believe the Bible says what it means, and means what it says, Babylon will be rebuilt at some point in the very near future.

The Antichrist will not be alone. The Bible speaks of yet another man called "the False Prophet," whom I believe will come onto the scene shortly before the Antichrist is introduced to the world. He will be given power to perform miracles in the sight of the Antichrist. I believe the False Prophet will be a Jew and will rise up out of the tribe of Dan.
1. The tribe of Dan was the first tribe to worship idols in Samaria. Amos 8:14 "They who swear by the shame of Samaria, or say, 'As surely as your god lives, O Dan, or as surely as the god of Beersheba lives'- they will fall, never to rise again." NIV
2. In the Book of Revelation, the tribe of Dan is not included when Jesus named the twelve tribes of the thirteen tribes each consisting of 12,000 men who will be evangelists during the seven-year Tribulation.
The Samarians were idol worshipers and in Deuteronomy 18:10-13, God through Moses said, "Let no one be found among you who sacrifices his son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritualist or who consults the dead. Anyone who does these things is detestable to the LORD, and because of these detestable practices, the LORD your God will drive out those nations before you. You must be blameless before the LORD your God." NIV
3. The third reason I believe the False Prophet will come from the tribe of Dan is found in Genesis 49:17 "Dan will be the serpent by the roadside, a viper along the path, that bites the horse's heels so that its rider (Israel) tumbles backward." NIV
As I have said before, I believe the "rider" spoken of in the previous verse refers to the Jewish people, and because the False Prophet will be a Jew, he will cause the Nation of Israel to stumble and fall backwards believing the lie of Satan. The False Prophet will be a perfect counterfeit of Jesus, and perform all manner of miracles, but will speak with the tongue of Satan. Through the miracles he performs, the false prophet will cause all who live on the earth who do not have the love of The Lord in their hearts to worship the Antichrist.
In John 5:43 "Jesus said, I come in My Father's Name and you did not receive Me, if another will come in his own name, him you will receive." The person Jesus was referring to is the Antichrist, indwelled with the spirit of Satan.
For thousands of years, the Jews have waited for their Messiah, and even though many will not believe that the Antichrist is "God," they will believe in his power. In order for the Jews to believe in the Antichrist's power, I believe the false prophet has to be Jewish. Many believe and teach that the Jews will accept the Antichrist as "God," but if you will recall, when the Antichrist enters the Temple of God, and proclaims himself to be "God," the Jews recognize him for who he is. Furthermore, the Antichrist does not demand that he be worshiped as "God" until he enters the Temple of God in Israel, proclaiming himself to be "God" over all that is worshiped and is called "God."
That means that Christians, Muslims, and every other religion practiced on earth will have to worship the Antichrist as "God" or be put to death. H-e-l-l-o, this is your wake-up call!
The reason I have failed to include Buddhism and Hinduism in the list is because Buddhism and Hinduism are for the most part practiced in India, China, Japan and most of the countries in the Far East. I believe these countries will be bitter enemies of the Antichrist and will not come under his control, but will go to war against him in the Battle of Armageddon, at which time they will all be destroyed by God, Jesus Christ when He returns to the earth during the heat of that battle.
In the Book of Revelation, John describes the false prophet and his incredible powers. Revelation 13:11-14 "Then I saw another beast, coming out of the earth. He had two horns like a lamb, but he spoke like a dragon. He exercised all the authority of the first beast on his behalf, and made the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast, whose fatal wound had been healed. And he performed great and miraculous signs, even causing fire to come down from heaven to earth in full view of men.
Because of the signs he the false prophet was given power to do on behalf of the first beast, the Antichrist deceived the inhabitants of the earth. He ordered them to set up an image in honor of the beast the Antichrist who was wounded by the sword and yet lived. He was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that it could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed. He also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead, so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name. "This calls for wisdom. If anyone has insight, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is man's number. His number is 666." NIV
THE FUTURE BABYLON
Over the last century, especially during the past 50 years, many believe and teach that Babylon was destroyed by the Persians in 539 B.C., the year the Medes and the Persians conquered Babylon. This could not be further from the truth.
In 539, when Cyrus, King of Persia, overthrew Babylon, he did not destroy any part of the city. To overcome Babylon without a battle, one of Cyrus' generals diverted the water of the Euphrates River allowing the Persian army to slip under the gates and take the city without a fight. It is also believed it was three days before many in the city became aware that they had been conquered by the Persians.
Two centuries later, the Greeks led by Alexander the Great, made Babylon its capital. As late as 75 A.D., merchants all over the Middle East were still conducting trade in Babylon. It was not until the trade routes were changed that Babylon ceased to be a major trade center. In the late 1800's, it is a well-established fact that many in Iraq still considered the City of Babylon their home.
According to Isaiah and Jeremiah, Babylon will be destroyed like Sodom and Gomorrah. Jeremiah goes on to say that the army will come from the North. This event is yet future because as of this writing, it has not yet happened. Although for the most part, Babylon is in ruins today, it is not as a result of war or any battle. In 1997, Saddam Hussein began construction in Babylon in an effort to rebuild a part of the city, but was only able to complete a few buildings.
In Jeremiah 50:33-41 The LORD Almighty tells us: "The people of Israel are oppressed, and the people of Judah, as well. All their captors hold them fast, refusing to let them go." 34 "Yet their Redeemer is strong; the LORD Almighty is His Name. He will vigorously defend their cause so that He may bring rest to their land, but unrest to those who live in Babylon." 35 "A sword against the Babylonians! declares the LORD--against those who live in Babylon and against her officials and wise men!" 36 "A sword against her false prophets! They will become fools. A sword against her warriors! They will be filled with terror." 37 "A sword against her horses and chariots and all the foreigners in her ranks! They will become women. A sword against her treasures! They will be plundered." 38 "A drought on her waters! They will dry up. For it is a land of idols, idols (who are controlled by demonic spirits) that will go mad with terror (on the Day of The Lord)."
39 "So desert creatures and hyenas will live there, and there the owl will dwell. It will never again be inhabited or lived in from generation-to-generation." 40 "As God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah along with their neighboring towns, declares the LORD, so no one will live there; no man will dwell in it."
41 "Look! An army is coming from the North." NIV
In order for Babylon to be destroyed like Sodom and Gomorrah, Babylon must first be rebuilt. This will take many years and billions of dollars, but if you believe the Bible says what it means, and means what it says, Babylon will be rebuilt at some point in the very near future.
