SECTION TWENTY-THREE
THE LACK OF OIL WILL CAUSE THE UNITED STATES TO DECAY AND CRUMBLE FROM WITHIN
Before the war between Russia and the United States begins, the Middle East will all but cut off the oil supply to the United States. This lack of oil will rapidly cause the United States to decay both economically and militarily from within in a relatively short time.
The shortage of oil in the United States could and no doubt will come to pass to some degree even before the Antichrist rises to power, after civil war breaks out in Saudi Arabia.
The United States imports almost 60% of their oil, with 18% coming from Saudi Arabia. Today, Saudi Arabia is ruled by King Fahd along with several thousand of his family members, which is a drop in the bucket compared to the rest of the estimated 20+ million Muslims who make up Saudi Arabia's disgruntled population.
Over the past several years, the ruling families have suffered great pressure to change their relationship toward the United States. If the ruling families do not change their favorable attitude toward the United States, I believe they are on the cutting edge of civil war, and it will not be long before a radical Moslem religious leader takes over control of the Saudi government. If Iraq or both Iraq and Syria come under the control of Iran and there is civil war in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait will have no other choice but to follow their example and raise oil prices. These increasing oil prices will quickly cause the decline of the United States economy. If the major refinery in Saudi Arabia is destroyed by terrorists, this event would all but collapse the U.S. economy no doubt within a six-month period. Once our economy and war machine is paralyzed, and Iran, North Korea or some other terrorist country uses an Anti-Magnetic Bomb against us, all that we will have left to defend ourselves with will be a limited Navy and nuclear submarines, which could easily be destroyed by Russia's nuclear missile arsenal, but not before much of Russia is also destroyed.
THE FINAL WAR OF ARMAGEDDON
Near the end of the seven-year Tribulation, what is left of Russia and her allies will join forces with China and the Kings of the East. It will be during this time that China, along with the other Kings of the East will march from China to the Land of Israel to the plains of the Megiddo Valley, the Jordan Valley and the Valley of Jehosephat, south of Jerusalem down near Edom. It will be in these areas that the Kings of the East with the help of the now dwindled Russian army will attempt to destroy the Jews and the Antichrist and take over the oil reserves in the Middle East.
As the battles progresses, one-fourth of the two-thirds of all of the people left on the earth will be killed, along with all the fish in the sea. All the water on earth will turn to wormwood, which means all the water in the world will be poisoned due to radiation fallout. In addition to all the water on the earth becoming radioactive, all the trees and everything green on the earth will be burned up from thermonuclear bombs, leaving only a few people left alive on the earth.
In Revelation 16:17-21 "The seventh Angel poured out his bowl into the air, and out of the Temple came a loud voice from the throne saying, 'It is done!' Then there came flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder and a severe earthquake. No earthquake like it has ever occurred since man has been on earth, so tremendous was the quake. The Great City split into three parts, and the cities of the nations collapsed. God remembered Babylon the Great and gave her the Cup filled with the Wine of the Fury of His Wrath. Every island fled away and the mountains could not be found. From the sky, huge hailstones of about 100 pounds each fell upon men. And they cursed God on account of the plague of hail, because the plague was so terrible." NIV
In this battle, as He did when Russia and her allies invaded Israel, Jesus causes the flesh of all who fought against His people Israel to be consumed away while they stand on their feet. "Their eyes shall be consumed away in their holes; and their tongues shall be consumed away in their mouths, and each man's hand will be turned against his brother to kill him and those who are not killed in this battle will be cast into the Lake of Fire."
In Zechariah 14:12-13 we learn, "This is the plague with which the LORD will strike all the nations that fought against Jerusalem: Their flesh will rot while they are still standing on their feet; their eyes will rot in their sockets, and their tongues will rot in their mouths. On that day, men will be stricken by the LORD with great panic. Each man will seize the hand of another, and they will attack each other." NIV
THE RETURN OF JESUS CHRIST - THE SAINTS AND ALL THE ANGELS IN HEAVEN
In the heat of this final battle, Jesus will appear in the heavens at His Second Coming. Matthew 24:27-28 and Revelation 1:7-8.
Matthew 24:26-31 "For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. Wherever there is a carcass, there the vultures will gather. Immediately after the distress of those days, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken. At that time, the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky, with power and great glory. And He will send His Angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather His elect those who are still alive who did not accept the mark of the beast but who accepted Jesus during the seven-year Tribulation from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other." NIV
Revelation 1:7-8 "Look, He is coming with the clouds Saints, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him; and all the peoples of the earth will mourn because of Him. So shall it be! Amen."
"I am the Alpha and the Omega, says the Lord God, who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty." NIV
Along with Jesus when He comes back in the clouds will be all the Angels in Heaven along with all the saints who have ever lived on the earth from the days of Adam to the moment Jesus returns to earth at the end of the seven-year Tribulation, who have put their trust in The Lord.
This is the event that every man and woman who has ever lived who loves the LORD has waited for.
HOW LONG WILL JESUS APPEARING IN THE HEAVENS LAST AT HIS SECOND COMING?
In the Book of Revelation, John tells us that every eye will see the coming of The Lord, when He returns. Revelation 1:7 "Look, He is coming with the clouds saints, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him; and all the peoples of the earth will mourn because of Him. So shall it be! Amen." NIV
Many believe the world will see The Lord's return on television, which I do not believe, because at that point, the world will all but be destroyed. The earth takes twenty-four hours to make a complete rotation. Therefore, for every eye on the earth to see Jesus return in all His majesty and Glory, it will take twenty-four hours from the moment He appears in the heavens until His foot touches down on the Mount of Olives where He ascended into Heaven 2,000 years ago.
In Revelation 19:11-16 John gives yet another description of Jesus' incredible return. "I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called 'Faithful and True.' With justice, He judges and makes war. His eyes are like blazing fire, and on His head are many crowns. He has a name written on Him that no one knows but He, Himself. He is dressed in a robe dipped in Blood, and His Name is the "Word of God." The armies of Heaven were following Him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. Out of His mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. He will rule them with an iron scepter. He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. On His robe and on His thigh He has this Name written: 'KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.' "
In Revelation 19:17-21 John continues describing the events surrounding Jesus' return. "And I saw an Angel standing in the sun, who cried in a loud voice to all the birds flying in midair, 'Come, gather together for the great supper of God, so that you may eat the flesh of kings, generals, and mighty men, of horses and their riders, and the flesh of all people, free and slave, small and great.' "
THE ANTICHRIST AND THE FALSE PROPHET ARE CAST INTO THE LAKE OF FIRE
When Jesus returns, He will make quick work of the Antichrist and the false prophet. John 19:19 foretells of this event, "Then I saw the beast, the Antichrist, and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to make war against the rider JESUS on the horse and His army. But the beast, the Antichrist was captured, and with him, the false prophet who had performed the miraculous signs on his behalf. With these signs, he had deluded those who had received the mark of the beast and worshiped his image. The two of them are thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur. The rest of them who followed after the Antichrist and the False Prophet were killed with the sword that came out of the mouth of the rider on the horse, Jesus Christ, and all the birds gorged themselves on their flesh." NIV
ALL THESE THINGS WILL BE FULFILLED IN THE LAST GENERATION, OUR GENERATION
Now concerning the last generation, and the events described in Matthew 24:32-35: Of these things, Jesus said, "Now learn this parable of the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it is near, right at the door. I tell you the truth: This generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away." NIV
The fig tree referred to in the preceding scripture by Jesus is Israel, and the rebirth of Israel that took place on May 15, 1948. May 15, 1948 was the day the last generation began.
SATAN IS BOUND IN CHAINS AND CAST INTO THE BOTTOMLESS PIT FOR A 1000-YEARS
Immediately after the Antichrist and the false prophet are cast into the Lake of Fire, John says that he saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key to the Abyss, and holding in his hand a great chain. He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, the devil, and bound him for a thousand years. He threw him into the Abyss, and locked and sealed it over him, to keep him from deceiving the nations anymore until the thousand years were ended. After that, he Satan must be set free for a short time. Revelation 20:1-3 NIV
