In February of 2002, while meditating on The Lord, the Holy Spirit gave me a vision of the destruction of the United States. In the vision, the Holy Spirit said, "The sins of the people of this land are so great that they cover their nation like a heavy blanket dipped in blood, and the stench of their inequities reach even into heaven."
Then He said, "Say to this people, from the beginning, I made you a nation out of many nations, great in word and deed, but your hearts grew wicked because of your pride, and you turned your eyes away from The Lord and worshiped gods which can neither walk, nor see, nor hear, nor speak. What god will stand before you on the great day that I judge the earth? For, on that day, your cities will crumble like sticks in a mighty wind, and with the sound of My voice, they will fall to earth in a great heap. And, on that day, the water that nourishes you, even the rain that falls from heaven will be as wormwood, and those who remain will be shaken and fall when I move the earth from its place.
"And, in that day, the sun will turn dark and refuse to give its light, and the sea will rise up and cover your coasts and your cities, and fire will fall from heaven like a great storm not in its season and cover this land. And, on that day, the birds of the air and the animals of the fields will feast on the flesh of the wicked for a season. And this land will lay desolate and few will remain. And, on that day, the eagle and the bear will do battle, and the lion will show his teeth and The Lord will smite the bear and the eagle."
After this, the Holy Spirit showed me a vision of a huge bear and a great eagle in mortal combat and the bear, covered with blood, fell to the ground as if dead, but rose up again to do battle. After this, I saw the eagle as from a great height and I heard his cry as he received a fatal wound and fell to the ground, and the whole earth cried out with one voice when the eagle fell.
After this, the Holy Spirit said, "Say to this people, pray that you are found worthy that you do not stand before Me when I bring judgment upon the earth and upon this land, for great is My wrath, and true is My judgment."
After the Holy Spirit stopped speaking and the vision ended, Hebrews 10:39 flashed before my eyes: "It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God."
